PUZZLE publishes electronically articles and unpublished works about Competitive Intelligence and the Technology Watch with the objective to diffuse its knowledge and practice in the Hispanic Community. The articles and works are carried out by recognized experts of Competitive Intelligence (CI) and the Technology Watch (TW) and they develop themes of interest of the professional groups and academics of all the Hispanic Community.

 

PUZZLE Hispanic magazine of the Competitive Intelligence is published bimonthly, of edition and electronic distribution by the network and of free access with free subscription. The format of the publication is academic-scientific, of adaptable extension to the contents and with traditional layout. It publishes texts of various types, all related to the CI and the TW: Tools, Models, Cases and Experiences and Notes of press of the world of the CI and TW.

The organization of the editorial is formed by two directors, a general coordinator and an editorial committee. The two directors, Alessandro Comai and Dr. Joaquín Tena Millán are known specialists in CI and TW with much experience and numerous publications. The general coordination is done by Manuel Membrado, a marketing technology specialist and supervisor of EMECOM. The Editorial Committee is formed by professionals and academics recognized by their knowledge of the world of the CI and TW pertinent to the private sector and universities of various countries.

The Magazine PUZZLE is published by EMECOM Consultants, S.L. Legal deposit Number: B-45448-03 and ISSN: 1696-8573.

Editorial Direction

PUZZLE is led by two Directors; Alessandro Comai, independent consultant of CI, associated professor of the University POMPEU FABRA and doctorate in Ph.D. by ESADE in Barcelona; and the Dr. Joaquín Tena Millán, qualified professor of Organization of Businesses of the University POMPEU FABRA of Barcelona and Director of the MBA Part Time program and of the Businesses Direction Diploma of the IDEC, center of continuous formation of the UPF. They both negotiate the editorial line of PUZZLE and have responsibility on the editorial committee.

Licenced in Industrial Engineering (BSc Honor), MBA from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra (UPF), DEA (ESADE) and Ph.D. Management Science candidate ESADE.
Director of 2IC - Incontro Competitive Intelligence, works in consulting to establish units of CI and to carry out analysis of the competence for businesses of different sizes and sectors. Is a professor associate of the UPF and professor of the ISM and has written various articles specialized in the CI. Is an editorial member of the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management (JCIM) and member assets of SCIP (Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals) and is associated to the ISSA.

Qualified professor of Organization of Businesses of the University Pompeu Fabra. Director of the MBA Part Time program and of the Diploma of Business Direction of the IDEC, center of continuous formation of the University Pompeu Fabra. Author of various articles and of the books Analysis and Formulation of Business Strategy with J.D. Grimá, The Environment of the Business and Organization of the Business: Theory and Applications. Is editorial member of the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management (JCIM) and associated to SCIP and to the Strategic Management Society.

Editorial Committee

PUZZLE has the objective to offer to its subscribers the contents and the tools of access with a level of maximum quality. For that reason, the editorial Committee is formed by professionals and adademics recognized by their knowledge of the world of the CI and TW pertinent to the private sector and universities of various countries. The Committee has the mission to select and to value in double blind the proposals and articles presented. Likewise, counts on experience in areas related to the management of the technology and the processes of technological innovation, the strategic administration and the planning, as well as in diverse topics of industrial property as a consequence of her training in the European Office of Patents and the World Organization of the Intellectual Property. Rose Freire, Licensed in Philosophy and Letters with an extensive postgradual formation in matters related to the management of Information, Technologies of the Information and Communication, Technology Watch, Transfer of Technology and Industrial Property, is currently responsible for the Unit of Strategic Information of the center of Innovation and Services of Galicia, CIS Technology and Design, as well as of the Center of the Link for the Innovation, IRC Galactea, in the same one.
She has dedicated the last years of her professional career to the planning, coordination and technology watch of Units management and Competitive Intelligence in different Companies of the Public Administration. It fits to emphasize her work carried out in the year 2002 with the setting in motion of "Zaintek", a Unit of Technology Watch and Competitive Intelligence that the Autonomous Delegation of Bizkaia put to the service of the pymes bizkainas.

Is a specialist in Systems of Technological and Competitive Intelligence as well as in the Administration of the Innovation and the Technology. She has qualified and developed consultancy to numerous businesses and institutes of investigation. Is an international lecturer. She has published articles in magazines and Congresses arbitrated in various countries of the American and European continent. Has been a teacher invited by the University Complutense of Madrid, in Spain. Belongs to the scientific committees of the Strategic Program and Scientific Watch of France, as well as of the Latin American Association of Technological Management (ALTEC). Also belongs to the Mexican Association of Executives of the Applied Investigation and the Technological Development (ADIAT). At present labors in the Center of Design and Innovation of Products of the Technological Institute and of Upper Studies of Monterrey where she is responsible for the Technological and Competitive Intelligence area for the Innovation, offering consultancy and training in the area.

The collaborators of PUZZLE are professionals and academics of various countries recognized by their knowledge in some of the specialties of the Competitive Intelligence (CI) and the Technology Watch (TW) that develop their activity in different sectors, public and private, as well as in universities. Specialists in security, in patents and marks, in IT, in I+D+I, university Professors and teachers, practical experiences in the private and public sector, etc., they are some of the contributors that collaborate periodically with PUZZLE.

PUZZLE offers its collaborators a program of credits that permits the utilization of advertising spaces.

PUZZLE Magazine

Access to the totality of editions of PUZZLE magazine is free with subscription. With the subscription, in addition to having access to all the contents, the subscriber will receive the electronic bulletin of publishing new features, in a noncommercial character. Furthermore, the subscriber will happen to comprise of the greater community of professionals and those interested in CI and TW of the Hispanic Community, approximately 3,700 subscribers (november 2006) in 36 countries of Europe and America.

With this in mind, PUZZLE sends informative notes of press on CI and TW to economic and business mediums. The press notes mainly talk about the information of the results of works or studies of PUZZLE Publications and to monographic editions of general interest.

PUZZLE makes available a special section for the press on their website with concrete information and access to the Press Release and Notes of Press up to the current day.
